Our unique drug discovery process has yielded a rich and promising pipeline. Our 10TO10 goal is to advance 10 drug candidates into human clinical trials by the end of 2010. Clinical trials are underway for four drug candidates. Our most advanced program is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials. We also have a number of promising programs in preclinical research.
In addition to our emerging clinical portfolio, we have identified and validated more than 100 potential drug targets in multiple therapeutic areas. Our pipeline consists of small molecule and biologic drug candidates, which diversifies our approach to drug discovery and development. All of our targets have been identified internally as part of our Genome5000TM program, in which we are using mouse gene knockout technology and state-of-the-art analyses to discover the functions of 5,000 mammalian genes.
